Cities / Nuremberg

Germany

Nuremberg: Imperial city, Dürer, the rally grounds and Courtroom 600.

Nuremberg carried the empire’s crown jewels for 350 years and then carried its worst chapter. A historian walks the castle and the merchant city of Dürer, the half timbered streets rebuilt after 1945, and, if you choose, the rally grounds and the courtroom where the trials began.

Questions

About Nuremberg.

Can one walk cover the old town and the rally grounds?

Not well; they are on opposite sides of the city. Two hours for the old town, a separate two to three hours for the rally grounds and the Documentation Centre.

Is Courtroom 600 on the walk?

It is inside the Palace of Justice with its own opening hours and ticket. The walk explains the trials and can end at the entrance.

Cancellation?
