History Walkspowered by LocalBini

Questions

Before you ask.

Booking, price, cancellation.

Who leads the walks?

Historians, archaeologists, art historians and history teachers from LocalBini’s vetted network of locals. Each walk is led by someone who lives in the city and has studied its past, not a script reader.

How does booking work?

You send an inquiry with the city, date, time, duration and whether it is private or a group. We reply within one working day to settle the details with you: questions, timing, theme. Then we confirm your historian, usually within two to three days, with the price and the meeting point. You pay by card through the link in that email, and the walk is booked.

What does it cost?

It depends on the city, the duration and the group size, so the price is in your confirmation. Private walks for up to eight people and group walks up to 25 are priced differently; ask and you have a number once the details are settled.

Cancellation?

Free cancellation up to 7 days before the walk. Within 7 days the walk is non refundable, since the historian has reserved the time. We reschedule for severe weather at no cost.

What is included?

The historian and the walk. Entry tickets to monuments and museums are not included; we tell you which ones are worth it and can time the walk to end at a door.

Which languages?

English and the local language in every city. Others on request, depending on the historian available.

Can we choose the theme?

Yes. Every city page lists themes; you can also describe your own, for example a family history or a specific period, and we find the right person.
