Booking
A walk is requested through the inquiry form or by email and confirmed by LocalBini AG with a historian, a meeting point and a price. The booking is concluded when the payment link in the confirmation is paid. Until then, no walk is reserved.
Prices and payment
Prices are stated in the confirmation and include VAT where applicable. Payment is by card through the payment link. Entry tickets to monuments and museums are not included unless stated.
Cancellation
Free cancellation up to 7 days before the start of the walk, with a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days of the start are non refundable. If the historian cannot lead the walk and no replacement is found, the full amount is refunded. In severe weather LocalBini reschedules the walk at no cost.
Conduct
Walks are led by independent local historians vetted by LocalBini. Participants follow the historian’s instructions on public roads. The itinerary may change for safety, weather or roadworks.
Applicable law
Swiss law applies. Place of jurisdiction is St. Gallen, Switzerland, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules at the participant’s place of residence.

Privacy on this site
This site sets no cookies and uses no tracking pixels or advertising scripts. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes connection data (IP address, browser type, time of request) to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse. The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you.
What you enter in the inquiry form (name, email, phone if given, city, date, walk details) is sent to LocalBini AG by email and stored in our customer system at Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, Paris, France; data hosted in the EU) so that we can answer you and organise the walk. We keep inquiries for as long as needed to handle them and to meet our legal record keeping duties.
The monthly letter uses double opt-in: after you subscribe, we send one email with a confirmation link, and only your click adds your address to the list. Every letter carries an unsubscribe link. We record the confirmation time as proof of consent.
You can ask at any time which data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or withdraw consent, by writing to historywalks@localbini.com. Data protection is governed by the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, for residents of the EU and EEA, the GDPR.
Photographs
City and walk photographs are licensed to LocalBini AG for use on this site. They show the cities, not necessarily the exact route of a walk, and the people pictured are not our historians unless named.
